Often called the national tea of China, it comes from plant named Camellia sinensis. Grown near the city of Hangzhou, in the Zhejiang Province of China, for more than a thousand years, Longjing has gained a great reputation for its exquisite quality. Longjing went from preferred beverage of emperors to tea offered still today to heads of state. Ayka Organics sell the highest quality of Longjing tea in UK and Europe. They commissioned me to photograph their Packages and also the simple process of making the longjing tea. They would use this images for their packaging, leaflets, social media presence, and all e-commerce activities.
I used a product tent with 2 light set up to shoot the packages. For the process of making the tea, I shot it in natural light against white background as they insisted on using hot water to show the process. The end result was satisfying and the clients were very happy with the end result.
